Our Sources

Last updated: 7 November 2026

We use official and openly published sources first: operator and transit-authority websites, official fare charts and timetables, and official notices of openings and fare changes. Each record on a page links to its own source.

Source types, in order of preference

  1. The operator or transit authority (for example the metro corporation, the city transport authority, or the national land transport authority).
  2. Official government notices and gazettes.
  3. Openly licensed data such as published GTFS feeds, where the licence allows reuse.
  4. Reputable reference works, only for background that is not likely to change, and marked as such.

What we do not use

We do not scrape competitor sites and we do not rely on social media posts for fares or timings.
